Best Farmers Markets

Posted by Marketing on Monday, May 22nd, 2023 at 11:00am.

Middle Tennessee is a cornucopia of gorgeous produce, all of which is available at the farmers markets that are now open throughout the region. Additionally, local artisans will be present, selling their wares crafted from these same delicious farms and dairies. Due to the perennial popularity of each of these markets, we do encourage you to arrive as early as possible to lock down parking and have your pick of the best produce and products available at your neighborhood market.

While most vendors now accept cards and other forms of electronic payment, it’s still a good idea to bring cash as a backup. It can be a bit of a letdown to find just the item you’ve been looking for only to discover your card isn’t accepted at a particular cash-only stall.

Because each of the markets we’re recommending today tends to be crowded, it’s wise to plan to spend more time there than you would at a grocery store. Many visitors make a morning of their visit, browsing wares, tasting baked goods and honey, and socializing with old and new friends throughout the market.

Remember to bring plenty of reusable bags!
